MUSIC BIO

I wrote many songs during the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic, between 2020 and 2021. With activities halted and lockdowns commonplace, I found myself spending much of my time at home. This inspired me to channel my energy into songwriting. By God’s grace, I was able to develop my music during this challenging period. Bunthorn Dorn, a Christian with a recording studio, rented a building just a five-minute walk from my home. Whenever I wrote a new song, I would simply walk over to play the chords for him. The tracks were then sent online to Tith Vanthiwan, another Christian brother and a professional pianist, who created the full piano track. Additional tracks followed from there.

I find great inspiration in the story of King David, who wrote many songs and skillfully played the harp. For me, songwriting and music are acts of worship that bring healing to the body, soul, and mind when the Lord is exalted. One of my songs, Testimony, even received some radio airplay. Beginning anything new is never easy, but I draw strength from the scripture: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” While I haven’t explored live performances yet, I am open to any way the Lord wants me to share His message. My ultimate goal is to spread the gospel in every possible form.

I don’t have space here to delve into each song, but I’ll mention a couple. Reign encourages listeners to believe in God’s sovereignty and reminds us that through Him, we too can reign. Testimony, written before the pandemic, reflects my life story, describing the storms I’ve weathered and my gratitude to God for bringing me through them.

My music is influenced by many artists, particularly the gospel songs of Jim Reeves and Don Moen. Two recurring themes in my songwriting are “Life is Full of Storms” and “How I Overcame.”

Life is Full of Storms:

A man found himself in a strange world, hungry and alone in the depths of winter. He hadn’t eaten in three days. Spotting another man in a car eating chicken and fries, he tapped on the window and pleaded, “Please, help me with some food. I’ll pay you back when I’m famous.” The man in the car shook his head, likely doubting the beggar’s claim. Despite his hunger, the beggar kept his humor alive. That beggar was me.

I had no connections and faced countless storms. I begged, stole, and borrowed, wandering the streets without meaning or direction. Then, I found the perfect connection—Jesus. My connection to heaven opened, and life changed forever. Just as God promised Abraham that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars, I realized I was one of them. With this newfound faith, life took on a deeper meaning, and the Lord began to guide me, connecting me with people and opportunities to serve in ministry.

It would be incredible to meet that man in the car again—to remind him of the power of kindness. Life is unpredictable, but I know who holds the future. My plan is simple: to serve God in every way I can. Through my Christian music website, I continue to share this journey, and I ask for your prayers and support. God bless you all!
