THE VGR TEAM: From. INDIA, USA & AUSTRALIA Cambodia Visit: 8-12 Dec. 2011

The Visit of the VGR Team to Cambodia (2011)

My wife and I went on a ten-day fast, seeking God’s direction in the midst of many challenges. On the tenth day, while checking emails at an internet café, my phone rang. It was a difficult season, full of responsibilities and both physical and spiritual struggles—burdens only God could carry. Questions weighed heavily on us: Should we continue with the work, or should we leave? These were matters only the Lord could answer.

When I picked up the call, the man on the line introduced himself as Bro. Joel from India, the VGR Manager there. He explained that he was with three other brothers—two from the United States and one from Australia—and that they were coming to Cambodia to open a library. I was astonished that the VGR team would reach out to me, an African in a foreign land, and ask me to host them. I felt both surprised and deeply honored.

This was remarkable because the first time I had written to VGR was in 2009 to request a copy of The Seven Church Ages, which I received. I had even asked Bro. Gan if he had one, but he only had The Seven Seals and encouraged me to write to VGR. Later, in 2011, I sent another email requesting all of Bro. Branham’s sermon books, as I longed to have access to the full collection of messages. At that time, we did not yet have the sermons on microchips, tablet apps, or devices as we do today. Instead of merely receiving books, God sent a team of VGR representatives—a blessing far greater than I expected.

Our little church had struggled for years, battling many trials and even reaching a point where the work nearly came to a standstill. Pressures weighed on us from every side. Yet I knew that if it was truly God’s will, He would work all things together for good, no matter the challenges. At critical points in my journey, I am grateful that the Lord always sent someone to show me kindness.

On December 8, 2011, the VGR team arrived in Cambodia. I met them at the airport, and we later shared meals together before traveling the next day to the church at Kampong Speu, where I had been holding services. Their visit lifted my spirit greatly. The process of establishing the library began soon after: essential items like a laptop and bookshelves were purchased. Initially, the office was set up in my home but was later relocated to a larger space with more rooms.

The visit of the VGR team marked an awakening for Cambodia. Translators were hired to render Bro. Branham’s sermons into Khmer, and audio messages were recorded as well. These materials have since been distributed to all 24 provinces of Cambodia. God sent a prophet, and my prayer is that everyone will have the opportunity to hear his message.

The Message has now gone forth through books, microchips, and the Table App. This has brought a great spiritual awakening to Cambodia.
