On 13 December 2010, we went to the airport to receive Brother Leonard Lifese from Belgium. He had first traveled to the Philippines, and God had placed a burden on his heart for Cambodia. The crowd at the airport was huge. The manager of the Orphan Centre in Trengtroyeung Village used his Toyota truck to bring many staff members and children to Phnom Penh International Airport. When Brother Leonard arrived, everyone was overjoyed to welcome him.
Although it was already evening, we still had to travel with him to the village where the Church is located, where others were waiting to see him. Sister Debora had prepared minced chicken with pasta sauce to go with spaghetti, and we all enjoyed supper together. We went to bed late because the children who had come to meet Brother Leonard did not leave until late at night. However, Brother Leonard had the following day to rest while we prepared the program for the service.
All the services were wonderful. Brother Leonard prayed for the sick and encouraged the brethren. He also visited the orphanage, prayed for the children, and gave an offering to support the organization. Although it was a short visit to the province of Kampong Speu, many were blessed.
We then traveled back to Phnom Penh, where he humbly stayed at our home in Toule Sangke instead of a hotel. He had to travel the next day, and time had flown by so quickly. After the morning devotion, we took a taxi to Phnom Penh International Airport, where Brother Leonard boarded his flight back to Brussels. We are all grateful for his visit. The parched ground of Cambodia has received much watering, and we continue to pray for a bountiful harvest.
