BRO NICE BLESSING Cambodia Visit:1-5 April, 2011

Brother Nice Blessing came to Cambodia during one of our very turbulent times. I went to receive him from the Airport on the 1st April, 2011. We have just been asked to leave a free house given to us by one Korean Missionary. There was some misunderstanding. However, all things work together for good to they that love God and called according to his purpose.  So Brother Nice came when we were looking for a place to stay. Bro Gan sent us funds to take care of our needs and even to buy a Tuk-Tuk.

We spent much time in the guest house with brother Nice while looking for a house to rent. Brother Nice discovered a place where they sell “Suji“. This is basically dough made from ground rice and popularly known in most parts of Africa as “Fufu.” However, in Africa the dough is commonly made from ground cassava and not rice. But the ground rice was a perfect substitute and we enjoyed the supper(meal) in the Africa Restaurant. This was a treat as my wife and I had never eaten this African dish since we traveled to Cambodia.

During the time we were looking for a house, Brother Gan had also sent money to one man to renovated a house that belongs to the man for us to stay instead of renting. The man had traveled to Singapore and assured the Church he could do us this favor. We took Brother Nice to look at the glass house. The house looked good but we didn’t  feel safe to live in it. There was no water and no electricity. It needed the use of a generator. It was also quite away from the city and dangerous for foreigners. The man too who claimed to own the property was not sincere. We used the place temporary for worship, and one day the man came and said our agreement is over and we have to leave.  The $2,000 was given to him to renovate his property, and for us to live there for many years. But he claimed it was valid for only two years. However, I am happy after some years, he contacted Bro Gan and refunded to us some of the money.

Although the fellowship was broken up during his visit and the Korean Centre we used to hold services was no longer available for us, we had cell groups in different parts in the Trengtroyeung village. We had evangelized extensively in these areas and baptized many people. We decided to take Brother Nice there to preach to the Villagers. Many of these people although trying to embrace Christianity still find themselves struggling to separate from the Buddhism. Brother Nice Message was timely. It was about Idol worship. When the meeting was over we took a van back to Phnom Penh. Some few brothers came to visit us at the guest house, and brother Nice gave an exhortation on the Stature of a Perfect Man. We also learned this new song from him:

I know the Lord will make a way,

He will make a way for you and me.

If I live a holy life (shun the wrong)

Shun the wrong and do the right,

I know the Lord will make a way.

A few days later, we accompanied him to the Airport where he took the Silk Air to Singapore.  Bro Nice Blessing is from Nigeria.
